In the morning the roads around Utrecht were filled with participants of the LottoNL-Jumbo -ride. With a special stop on the roof of the distribution-center of Jumbo. During the fanday the fans entered the world of the team. Riders and Sport Directors were telling the best stories from the cycling world. And the mechanics showed how to maintain the bikes. There was plenty to do. You could race on the Holland-Sport velodrome and there was a fan shop with lots LottoNL-jumbo items. Our partners were also present and made sure that all aspects of cycling were displayed. Our photographer Cor Vos made pictures during the day. You can see them here. Caleb Ewan (Orica), just like in the first and third stages, won the kick in Campbelltown, Australia. Richie Porte (BMC) remains the leader with LottoNL-Jumbo’s Robert Gesink in 11th at 29 seconds. 19 januari 2017 in Cycling Gesink 10th in GC after chaotic final Robert Gesink jumped to 10th in the Tour Down Under’s general classification after the third stage to Victor Harbor ended in a bunch sprint. Again, home cyclist Caleb Ewan (Orica) was the fastest sprinter in the Australian stage race. 18 januari 2017 in Cycling Gesink almost in the top 10 after Tour Down Under’s first mountain stage LottoNL-Jumbo’s Robert Gesink sits 11th overall in the Tour Down Under after today’s mountain top finish stage in Paracombe. Richie Porte (BMC) won the stage ahead of two pursuers and with 19 seconds on a group with Gesink. 17 januari 2017 in Cycling Team LottoNL-Jumbo unscathed through Tour Down Under stage 1 The first stage of the Tour Down Under ended in a bunch sprint with Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) on top. The LottoNL-Jumbo riders came thorough unscathed in the first stage of this year’s first WorldTour race. Robert Wagner took the top honours for the team in 16th.
