Late attack disrupts new bunch sprint in BinckBank Tour

A late attack has disrupted the expected bunch sprint in the fourth stage of the BinckBank Tour. Team LottoNL-Jumbo sprinter Dylan Groenewegen got boxed in and couldn’t sprint to the fullest anymore. He finished tenth.

“It was a strange finish with all those turns and obstacles”, Groenewegen said. “I never got to my sprint. Yesterday, I could sprint freely, but it was for the sixth place. Today, I couldn’t sprint at all. That’s also sprinting. With such a technical final, you know that some guys are going to attack and that it will be difficult. We continue to do our best. I feel good, the team was strong and there are still opportunities.”
